About

Global leader in both quadruped and humanoid robots. Founded in 2016 by Wang Xingxing (王兴兴), who built the world's first external-rotor brushless motor small quadruped (XDog) during his master's at Shanghai University. Unitree was the first company worldwide to achieve commercial sales and industry deployment of high-performance electric-drive quadruped robots. Known for extreme cost optimization through full-stack self-research (motors, reducers, dexterous hands, LiDAR, sensors all developed in-house). Revenue grew from ¥121M (2022) to ¥1.17B (Jan-Sep 2025), with net profit of ¥431M — one of very few profitable robot companies globally. Humanoid shipments reached 5,500+ units in 2025 (global #1). Quadruped cumulative sales exceed 30,000 units. Filed for IPO on Shanghai STAR Market in March 2026.
